Introduction

This writing course of 6 weeks will bring the theme of collective liberation, activism, healing, prayers, and daily practices. In these six weeks there will be different poems from the martyrs from Gaza who have been killed in the genocide.

The course is facilitated by Haneen Sabbah.

About the Facilitator

Haneen Sabbah is a Palestinian Falahi mother currently based in southern Portugal and a passionate advocate for her homeland, working through writing, cultural organizing, and storytelling. Her journey began in Gaza, where she witnessed firsthand the realities of life under siege.

As a contributing writer for We Are Not Numbers, she has documented the lives of women in Gaza. Through her work with Global Voices, she has helped amplify stories that are often unheard.

Beyond writing, Haneen is an active organizer, raising awareness of Palestinian culture and political realities through events in Portugal. She has organized film screenings and co-hosted cultural gatherings to foster solidarity with Palestine. Her work also includes participating in retreats focused on healing and peace activation.
