Hi, I’m Haneen Sabbah,
My Experience
I began my translation career working with journalists covering life in Gaza, helping to translate stories that highlighted the resilience and struggles of my community. Since then, I’ve broadened my scope to include various forms of translation:
background
My passion for translation comes from my love for sharing the voices and experiences of my community. I approach every project with care, ensuring the original meaning and emotions are preserved.
Arabic is my native language, and I’ve taken several courses in translation at Amedeist in Gaza. I’m also TOEFL certified, which helped me expand my work internationally.
I’ve translated training materials related to trauma-informed practices in Palestine, and I’m currently working on a beautiful project translating Rumi’s quotes into Arabic for a card project.
